Student
License Program
If you do not have a permit and would like to start driving now, you
can! Bay Area Driving School has the authority to issue "Student
License" to qualified applicants. With a student license, you
may drive with our driving school prior to obtaining your learners
permit
To qualify for a student
license, you must:
- Be 15 1/2 years of age
or older (verification of name and birth date will be necessary)
- Complete an application
consisting of confidential questions regarding the physical
ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Not have a license
or permit from another state or country
- Pass a vision and
hearing test administered by your driving instructor
Our professional and
patient instructors will guide you through your driver training
experience by building your confidence, teaching you safe driving
skills, and preparing you to pass your DMV drive test
Fee: $140 (includes student license and first 2-hr behind-the-wheel lesson)
Special: Prepay a 6-hr package in advance for a discounted rate of $370
